This note is long overdo. Thanks for the consideration on the replacement boiler, the entire process was a good experience. Dan did an excellent job of diagnosis, temporary repair, then the re-install and follow-up. I feel like we finally have the boiler running as well as possible. Many people will grumble about their experience, but I am writing just the opposite. Job well done on all counts.

Hal, I want to thank you for the work your Company completed on Old Rt 31 in Clyde.  Recently one of your crews were out to my mothers house and completed an energy audit on her house. At that time they said that some of their findings may be covered under NYS Energy Grants.  Well, last week your crews showed up and spray foamed the entire perimeter of her house. They also covered the crawl space floor with plastic to help stop the dampness from coming through. Dave and Phil(your insulation crew) did an excellent job. They covered everything with plastic and had to work around over 65+ years worth of sentimental valuables that were stored in the basement. They left no mess. They even removed some old damaged insulation that had been there for years, and removed everything from site.  Also while they were there, Dave (your furnace tech) did a thorough job of checking out the hot water tank, boiler, gas stove, and clothes dryer. He installed new smoke and CO2 detectors as well as replacing the thermostat's. I want to thank your crews, your company and you for the service you provided. We would have never know that these funds were available with out your help. I know that with these improvements she will be able to live there more safely and comfortably throughout her remaining years. I am so happy to have a new hot water heater and new insulation in my attic. The crew did a fantastic job, very neat and clean. Such nice people, they answered all my questions. Jason was very helpful and kept in touch with me through the whole process, can’t say enough about how kind and patient he was. I highly recommend Halco to everyone!

I'd just like to say I appreciated the integrity displayed by Halco throughout this process. I initially had my worries that we were going to be sold on a lot of things we didn't need, but the first visit from George helped allay those fears. He pointed out aspects of the house we were not aware of as problems. Such as the bathroom fans venting into the attic, air circulation in the basement, issues with the dryer, and of course the leaking gas pipes. We were glad when the crew came out to fix these issues and more and also bring our insulation up to code. When George came out for the follow-up visit, he found that the gas pipes still had a minor leak, and I was impressed that Halco would double-check their work. Then the crew returned and they showed me how gas leaks are confirmed with that special fluid. Then I could actually see the bubble form and understand the process. That was useful for me to see. The crew then immediately redid the joint and we confirmed the seal was good. Then the guy gave me tips as he reignited the pilot on the water heater before they left. The ability to recognize, acknowledge and fix mistakes has become rare, and I am glad to see it exists at Halco.
