Steve Schreffler did an excellent job tuning my furnace and I feel safe that the furnace will keep us in heat all winter. Steve was a professional and Halco should be happy to have him.

On August 3, 2023 Brandon made a sales call to our residence to review and quote us a SPLlT HVAC system. I can’t recall a home improvement sales call where my wife and I have had so much fun spending money. Brandon was very professional and thorough in his approach. The gentleman came to check out what was wrong with the on-demand water heater that I had as the people that installed it said that they have not worked on that brand (HTP) for a few years or more. The gentleman showed me what was wrong. It was not repairable. I thought about what to do after he showed me my options. I decided on another on-demand weather heater. Oh my goodness!! The HTP always took a minute and a half of running water fully to get hot water when it worked properly. It would shut off randomly. In the middle of a shower, washing my hair, while washing dishes. Sometimes you could feel the water getting warmer to start something and the water would go cold. I had called Home Comfort many times over the years. 2019 was the last time I saw someone. Having problems then. They took the cover off and said to leave it off as it was too cold in the cellar so it wouldn’t work then. As I have said they just told me that they do not work on them. One person gave me the number for HTP. After over a month of being put on hold, I got to talk to someone that gave me a website to go to as they said that is what I would have to do they could not help me on the phone. For some months I tried to get on the website to get the message “error”. Could not get onto the website. The new water heater is so quiet. I don’t hear it at all. We have hot water much quicker than a minute and a half. Less than a minute. It works properly. So happy. Thank you for all of the hard work. The two gentlemen were so very nice. Professional, without any profanity. Greatly appreciated.

Hi there, My names Jack, and I just had a visit from Sam. My wife and I bought our house 8 months ago and don’t know the first thing about home ownership. Finding a good plumber was a major concern of ours, as was trying to understand all the technical stuff about plumbing! I’m a teacher and my wife is a laboratory scientist, we don’t know much of anything about plumbing. Sam was so professional, so warm/friendly, and so technically proficient. He made understanding the plumbing situation so simple. When he proposed become Halco members, I was at first wary, why on earth do I need a subscription to a plumbing company? But as he explained it, it made so much sense. Sam’s not done an hour of work on the house yet, but I am confident Halco just got another life customer. Dear Mr. Smith,I am writing to thank you, Halco, and especially Matt Dennis and Matt Slimskey for your exceptional customer service.Matt Dennis and Matt Slimskey oversaw the sale and installation of my LG Hydro Kit heat pump heating and cooling system. They and their teams exceeded my expectations in all regards.I first met Matt Dennis at a virtual HeatSmart CNY meeting. I was interested in installing an air-to-water heat pump, which is regrettably not yet widely available in the U.S. market. Matt D. consulted with me about ATW heat pumps and other options. He researched ATW heat pumps and advised on more readily available, and serviceable, alternatives. Matt regularly accepted my calls after business hours and “geeked out” with me about what heat pump heating and cooling system would work best for my new construction project. To this day, Matt has remained in close contact and offered support even though my bill to Halco has been fully paid.Matt Slimskey oversaw the team that installed my heating and cooling system. I was out of the country during most of the installation but various other subcontractors whom I trust spoke very admirably about Matt and his team even without my prompting. As I’m sure you know, this is rare for subcontractors to do. During the few times that I managed to be on site, Matt’s team treated me like a valued customer, explaining the system in a clear and patient way.What also stands out clearly in my mind is when my General Contractor—whom Matt S. had been attempting to contact for weeks, without success—contacted me on a Friday at noon and asked that Halco “turn on the heat” the following Monday (less than 3 full days later!) in order to pass inspection. I was appalled by this request, but Matt and his team adapted and somehow managed to have the heating and cooling system functional by the GC’s due date. That was less than 24 business hours away from the time service was requested. Talk about exceeding expectations.Throughout all of this high-maintenance drama of customer service, Matt Dennis and Matt Slimskey have remained steadfastly good-humored, helpful, and friendly. I admit that I had been nervous about working with a “big name” heating and cooling company on this project. I typically prefer to work with the smallest business possible. But Halco proved me wrong. Your team has taken remarkably good care of me—a single woman navigating house building for the first time. I am indebted to Matt Dennis, Matt Slimskey, their teams, and you, for helping me through this process.I have recommended, and will continue to recommend, Halco to my friends with the strongest endorsement. Steve S, the technician who assisted me with my furnace issue, was very thorough and tactful, pointing out to me that I had caused the problem of my furnace not responding to my thermometer settings by covering the perimeter of the programmable thermostat with masking tape while painting the surrounding wall. He also suggested a visit by a Halco plumber to address issues I am having with inadequate hot water pressure in my bathroom sink and shower. I’m expecting the plumber today. I call Halco because they can be relied on to show up and give excellent, prompt service.

I just wanted to write you about a very positive service experience we had over the past two days. We are on contract for a geothermal pump, and suffice it to say the project has not been straightforward between the architecture, the property lines, and the global supply chain. Part of the project involved trenching across our septic line for lack of another option, and when our (recently pumped) septic started backing up yesterday my wife and I panicked. We called Matt and right away he sent over Mark who was very thorough, professional, and great to work with. He came up with a good plan, having diagnosed that the line was probably intact, and had us contact a septic service in the morning. Today we had the septic company come by and the assessment was that there was something ‘unusual’ going on – the tank was not too full but there may have been a clog or something wrong with the main line from the house. Matt came to the rescue again and sent Andrew and Ryan back this afternoon. I can’t emphasize enough how great Andrew and Ryan were! They spent hours here running the pipes with cameras and a mechanical device. They were kind, informative, and professional to the max and even cleaned up the mess afterwards. I just thought you would want to know what a great team of people you have working at Halco between Matt, Mark, Andrew, and Ryan. Thanks so much and we are looking forward to continuing our project with Halco.

Service was very good. Mike and Dani were informative, responded to questions, and explained their procedures in detail. They were also efficient, and respectful of activities going on in the residence. I would recommend them for plumbing work to anyone.
