Jacob came to my house today and performed maintenance work on my two minisplits. He was excellent. He tackled a difficult problem and SOLVED it. My minisplits are good to go for another year. He was wonderful. He was polite, CLEAN, didn’t make a mess and anything that was even slightly messy was completely cleaned up. And oh yeah, just a really nice guy. Overall, he was superb. Hopefully all of your folks are as good as he is. glad to be back on board with Halco after letting my service agreement lapse.

Hi I just wanted to say that Mike came out to my place and was not only really competent and did a great job, but he was also super-helpful and intuited some extra work that I really needed done so I was double happy with his work. I will be replacing that 80% furnace soon, but I just appreciate his help keeping it going.

We had Mike do a regular maintenance check on our Oil fired Boiler Furnace on Saturday. It’s not the 1st time we’ve had him for work at our house. If possible we’d love to ALWAYS have him!! That guy knows how to work with our older system. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would!! Competent, efficient and friendly.

Hi Hal, Long time customer of yours here with a thank you … Last Nov 20th Mike Crum came to Scipio to look at plumbing issues in a house I’m purchasing. The 1915 plumbing has had numerous fixes over the years, including many by Halco. It needed an automatic leak detector / shut off installed for insurance purposes and also some plumbing upgrades. On December 13th Mike and Beau returned to that miserable basement (no heat in the house) and accomplished what needed to be done. They did a great job and it was nice to see them work so well as a team. Because the water in the house had been drained for the winter and because we have more plumbing upgrades to be done, Mike and I are looking forward to his returning this spring to continue. As they were leaving, Mike asked me post a review on Google. Previous ‘Halconians’ have made the same request and I’ve always been extremely hesitant only because of my worry about Google. However, Mike and Beau were so good, I decided to give it a try, but I couldn’t figure out how I could confidently leave a review on the site without leaving my real name, which I absolutely wanted to avoid. I finally gave up and decided to write you directly. Apologies for it taking so long. I do want to put in a good word for Mike and Beau (and in fact for all your employees who have helped me over the years). They are an interesting group of talented people whose dedication and skills are deeply appreciated. And that especially includes the ladies who answer your phones – they are always excellent: friendly, upbeat, efficient, polite, organized, etc. Congratulations (and thank you) for building and maintaining such a wonderful company that everyday helps so many people.

I just want to commend your company for employing such a superior person like Mike Adsitt. He went over and above to repair my boiler. He is very knowledgeable in the boiler repair. The outstanding part of this repair is not only that the repair was done, it’s the time he took to explain how things work in my boiler. Not all service people will take the time. He did. As a widow, trying to keep my home of 50 yrs working in good condition, it is very important. It allows my son the comfort to know his mother is being treated with care and respect. Thank you!! It’s important for little old ladies to trust an upstanding business like Halco. Mike is a great representative for your business!! Dear Mr. Smith,I am writing to thank you, Halco, and especially Matt Dennis and Matt Slimskey for your exceptional customer service.Matt Dennis and Matt Slimskey oversaw the sale and installation of my LG Hydro Kit heat pump heating and cooling system. They and their teams exceeded my expectations in all regards.I first met Matt Dennis at a virtual HeatSmart CNY meeting. I was interested in installing an air-to-water heat pump, which is regrettably not yet widely available in the U.S. market. Matt D. consulted with me about ATW heat pumps and other options. He researched ATW heat pumps and advised on more readily available, and serviceable, alternatives. Matt regularly accepted my calls after business hours and “geeked out” with me about what heat pump heating and cooling system would work best for my new construction project. To this day, Matt has remained in close contact and offered support even though my bill to Halco has been fully paid.Matt Slimskey oversaw the team that installed my heating and cooling system. I was out of the country during most of the installation but various other subcontractors whom I trust spoke very admirably about Matt and his team even without my prompting. As I’m sure you know, this is rare for subcontractors to do. During the few times that I managed to be on site, Matt’s team treated me like a valued customer, explaining the system in a clear and patient way.What also stands out clearly in my mind is when my General Contractor—whom Matt S. had been attempting to contact for weeks, without success—contacted me on a Friday at noon and asked that Halco “turn on the heat” the following Monday (less than 3 full days later!) in order to pass inspection. I was appalled by this request, but Matt and his team adapted and somehow managed to have the heating and cooling system functional by the GC’s due date. That was less than 24 business hours away from the time service was requested. Talk about exceeding expectations.Throughout all of this high-maintenance drama of customer service, Matt Dennis and Matt Slimskey have remained steadfastly good-humored, helpful, and friendly. I admit that I had been nervous about working with a “big name” heating and cooling company on this project. I typically prefer to work with the smallest business possible. But Halco proved me wrong. Your team has taken remarkably good care of me—a single woman navigating house building for the first time. I am indebted to Matt Dennis, Matt Slimskey, their teams, and you, for helping me through this process. I have recommended, and will continue to recommend, Halco to my friends with the strongest endorsement. Mike was at our house today with a very difficult plumbing problem! His ability to think outside the box and his willingness to spend the time that it took to solve the problem were exceptional!! Our house has had a string of impossible-to-solve plumbing problems for a long time. However, each time Mike has been able to use very clever tricks to solve the unsolvable! Today, Mike even outdid himself and was able to take out a metal spring and a ball of old wire that was clogging our laundry drain, using unconventional tools and his ability to assess the real problem! How did he even do that?!! He was also able to figure out the unique plumbing path (not the expected way of doing things), locate where the T was, and determine the weird direction of the pipes. I did not expect Mike to be able to solve the problem today but somehow he managed to do it! He is truly an amazing and dedicated problem solver! You should also know that I have been a customer service consultant in the past and I would rate Mike’s ability to work with me, the customer, as an 11 out of 10! He has excellent communication skills and was willing to work with me to solve the problem in a way that made me feel respected and part of the team. Thank you also for giving your plumbers cameras. Without these, I don’t think that Mike would have been able to locate and solve such an unusual problem. However, maybe I shouldn’t second guess Mike because he never gives up and somehow he always does the impossible!! Thanks Mike!!
