Honey and Steven G. recently had a solar energy system installed by Halco at their Port Byron, NY home. In this video the couple speaks about the impact of this solar upgrade in their lives and their experience with Halco. ‘This company has done a wonderful job, and the people that have come out, everybody has been spot on! If they said they were gonna do something or be there at a particular time, they were there or you got a phone call 24 hours in advance,’ says Honey. ‘It really was professional from the start to the finish. I had in mind a solution for our lack of hot water and Steve proposed a different solution which was less costly and, because he had the parts on his truck, was installed successfully & quickly. I just want to let you know how pleased I am with all the work that has been done on my house. Even after the nice, new hot water tank was installed today, your installer happened to notice a slope in the ramp by the side door. He fixed it by putting the brace piece back in place and attaching a couple nails to hold it there and then he told me about it and showed me where the problem was and what he did. That was an amazing, thoughtful thing for him to do, above and beyond his job scope. I am happy to be able to rest easy knowing my hot water tank is replaced before any major damage happened with that. It’s so much larger and looks good. He left everything in nice neat condition, even better than he found it. The basement windows look very good and they were installed with such efficiency. The installers were gentlemen and worked well together. Those old windows are gone and the new ones will probably last the lifetime of the house. I highly recommend them for any jobs HALCO may have in the future. The new heat converter unit on my furnace seems to be working just great, even though I don’t really understand how it works. Those 3 gentlemen worked a long day to get it installed and working well. I know that unit and the additional insulation in my house will also save me some money and improve the efficiency of my propane and electric services. They did not have one problem with things being in the way and everything was done with our safety in mind. I am truly blessed. Everyone I have been in contact with through HALCO, either in person or by phone, has been very courteous, polite and considerate, and well experienced in their area of expertise. I am a general contractor out of Bloomfield. I was working at a job in Ionia where Halco was doing the Insulation in the house. I want to give a positive review on the crew you had there. I am very fussy with our work, and I am also critical of others work. The crew you had there, Scott Smith, with Colton and Dave helping him really impressed us. They were installing spray foam, and the dense pack. We were very impressed on how well of a job they did, how well they worked together, and how well they work with other contractors also. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs this work done.

Dear Halco, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you again. I contacted your company almost 3 years ago when I started really having troubles with my boiler. A salesman came out and did a home energy audit. Then I waited. Well needless to say I called again when my boiler really stopped working and found out that the one gentleman no longer works for your company and because it had been so long another energy audit had to be done. That is when you sent out David (thank you)! David was very polite, knew exactly what needed to be done, what papers needed to be filled out and even had to deal with the water department because I had a water main break in front of my house and there was a sheet of ice in front of my house! David went above and beyond in order to help me and my family. Even coming out another time because I could not get my important forms off my computer for him. David also kept in contact with me to let me know how everything was going with the application process. Then I received the very best call ever from him that I was approved for the 50/50 and the insulation for my home. You have no idea how happy I was. Within a couple of weeks my family and I would have HEAT in our house!!!! Almost two months with only electrical heaters to heat our home in the dead of winter. Thankfully, it was not our normal Wayne County winter. We then met Josh and Richard who were our installers. And thank you yet again!! These two gentlemen are an asset to your company. Honestly, all three of them are!!!! In just two days Josh and Richard were able to install the new system, remove the old, and make it look like they were never there. Josh and Richard were a delight to have in my home, they were extremely knowledgeable and answered every question I had and there were hundreds of them. Never once did I feel like I was a bother to them. And I was amazed that even with all my questions it did not slow them down whatsoever. It was a pleasure to have them in my home and I will highly recommend David, Josh and Richard to everyone I can, and already have!!! The day that Josh and Richard were finished, David called me again to see how things went and I could not contain the excitement in my voice, of the pure joy that I had to walk into a warm home again. David will be coming out again so that we can start the next step of the insulation. And honestly I cannot wait!!! If everyone in your company is as professional, fun, and as trustworthy as these three have been, you will be receiving another letter from me. Also sorry for my spelling, I am an auto mechanic, not a journalist! 🙂

The two young men who weatherized our home today were absolutely outstanding. They were very thorough, they explained their work very clearly and certainly exceeded our expectations of the overall improvements they did. Our home is noticeably tighter. Purity Ice Cream Company, Inc. was established in 1936 in Ithaca, New York and it’s been a local institution since then, serving delicious ice cream and baked goods. Bruce, owner of the establishment since 1998, is a firm believer in renewable energy and decided to upgrade to Solar Energy while renovating the facilities. Halco was the company he chose for the job, and he is very happy with the results. ‘Upstate New York is not known for super sunny days but despite that we get a lot of good power production out of these panels,” says Bruce, who is also considering the addition of a few more panels in the near future.

Hi! We recently had many Halco technicians at our house trying to resolve our AC problems. I can’t locate all the survey forms but would like to write one general email that I hope you will apply to all of the home visits. We had a bit of a unique problem and all technicians worked hard to resolve it. Brandon and Matt were terrific about accommodating and responding to my need to understand what happened and to make sure we were protected from it happening again. If a tech didn’t know what to do – they called and found someone else. We are very pleased with the service provided and would, and have, recommended your service to others. Of special note is Hans. His experience enabled him to look at our situation a bit more broadly and he’s why we added the furnace purchase. We appreciated his honest assessment and saving $1000 by buying it now with the AC rather than later. His comments were extremely valuable. And Brandon jumped on it and had technicians in the next business day to install the unit. We are very pleased with the service we received. Thanks for helping us through a difficult situation.
