Awesome service! I had the best experience anyone can have when dealing with an unexpected repair. Halco employee Jake was dispatched to my home to repair a plumbing problem. The owners of this 1880’s farmhouse originally contacted Halco because they were interested in a heat pump option to replace their old oil furnace. While assessing the home, we found an extremely wet and drafty basement. After waterproofing the basement, the happy homeowners reached out to move forward on the geothermal heat pump portion of their project. We installed a 5-ton GeoStar Sycamore ground source system connected to a horizontal loop. The homeowners are blown away with how clean and efficient the new system is. And even more, they now had air conditioning for the first time ever! In the end, these homeowners eliminated a 2,000 gallon a year oil bill and about 50,000 lbs. of CO2 per year!

I write because soon it’ll be a year that I’ve had my heat pump system. The insulation and new energy system have transformed my home. I realized I’m living in the house of my dreams, just had to upgrade it a bit. I spent the last three months renovating the interior, got a fabulous sink and dishwasher, threw out about 75% of my stuff, repainted the interior, installed LED lighting, turned the two 2nd floor front rooms into well-lit studios — it’s all so different — beautiful, peaceful, a real sanctuary, every room fully functional. At the heart of it, of course, is climate control. Warm, cozy, and draft-free in the winter, cool and dry in the summer. I remember how when we first met in my living room, both of us tried to talk with sweat just streaming. Omg. Apologies!! I love it here now. Also, I would not be able to work from home without the AC, so thanks for that as well.

I want to say thank you for sending Mr. Bret Wyllie to fix the leak coming out of one of the pipes in the basement. From the moment he arrived to when he left and finished the job the next day he was so professional, so nice, so knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. Thank you for the work Halco did installing our geothermal furnace, basement waterproofing, and windows. The house is comfortable and it is wonderful not having to worry about mold or flooding in the basement. The duct work and furnace look like they have always been here rather than a retrofit. The Halco teams worked well together, from what I could tell, even when there was a scheduling overlap between the basement and furnace teams. I very much appreciate you coming to correct the water leakage around the geothermal line where it enters the basement. We have not noticed any problems since you were here. Please extend my thanks to everyone who worked on this project.

Dear Halco, I have been pleased with Halco’s dedicated biannual inspections. My four heating/ air conditioning units are all well cleaned and in good working order. Last year, I witnessed the work that goes into servicing the four units in my condo. I believe it was a spring cleaning, but due to various emergencies that happened on my cleaning dates it was completed during the July 4th weekend. I had 13 family members in my two bedroom unit and your technician serviced all four units without disrupting our activities. Everyone was so impressed. On another occasion a few years (4years?) back one of your employees worked on a unit in my condo installing a blower on three consecutive days. Every time I turn the unit on I am impressed at how the unit operates and the memory of the hard work that went in to the fixing of the unit. So when I return in March I will expect another fine job well done based on the evidence of past performance. Thank you.
