On Friday Shawn came by to make various adjustments to our geothermal system. The system is significantly quieter (thanks so much!) and we now have adequate hot water. The only remaining issue is that we would like to know the current efficiency through your monitoring system and also get access to the web-based monitoring system. We both want to take this opportunity to thank one and all for the unbelievable service that Halco has shown during this whole installation. Shawn has been absolutely exceptional in his help and devotion to making things work, and every other person we encountered from Halco was very polite, helpful and a delight to have around. We have never encountered a company that is consistently so good. Thank you. The Manzanos were here yesterday and we tried to convey our high respect for Halco. The final payment will be in the mail on Monday. We look forward to working with you all in the future.

Our experience of working with Halco has been excellent. We have no hesitation recommending them based on the work they have done for us on our new house. Halco did all the plumbing on our new house and also designed and installed our solar/PV electric system. We had been considering geothermal heating and would definitely have gone with Halco but decided not to install it in the end (we did ‘stub in’ radiant piping in our basement floor to allow an upgrade to geothermal if our wood stove proved inadequate. Right now our house (which is straw-bale post-and-beam) is proving to be very energy efficient and even the stove is hardly necessary.). Halco’s renewables group has been outstanding to work with and seems to consistently hire remarkable people: smart, articulate and very customer/user oriented. Everyone, from managers to installers were knowledgeable, efficient and reliable. Based on our positive experiences with Halco doing the solar/PV for our house my wife went ahead and convinced her business partner to install solar on their office building. Halco’s plumbing people were also the best we have ever worked with as homeowners- and over 30 years we have dealt with our share of plumbers. They got the job done in a timely fashion, were responsive to our concerns and flexible when it came to the inevitable glitches in schedule and unexpected situations.

Sorry I missed you today. I checked the basement when I got home. I understand Ralph’s notes and I’ll clean up the circuit labeling. FYI – the flicker problem was noticeably absent this evening. I didn’t get a single ‘there it goes again’ from Julia all evening. As far as I’m concerned, the project is a success. Ralph – thanks for the dedicated circuit for the ‘Grid is Down’ indicator. I explained it to my brother, and he had the reaction I suspect most will have – ‘what? you need a light to come on to tell you when the power is off?’, and he thought I was nuts. I appreciate your willingness to humor me. I enjoyed the project – I really learned quite a bit. Thanks to you both, and extend my thanks to Tim. I can’t say enough about the Halco team. Finally – Melissa – if you do commercial work in Buffalo, let me know. My brother owns a number of self storage facilities, and two indoor tennis centers in Buffalo, and is interested in learning about Solar options for his vast roof space. Dear Mr. Smith, We were very impressed by your employee, William Graeper, who came to our house on August 1st, 2012 to do an energy audit. Will was very informative and pleasant and thorough. He is very intelligent and was able to convey and explain very complex information in an easy to understand manner. He was very thorough in checking our heat sources and inspecting areas of our house and explaining why he was doing things and pointing out areas of concern. He gave us a lot of information during the house tour/inspection. He demonstrated throughout his visit his desire to help the ‘customer’ and is very passionate about energy. He was soft spoken and not pushy, and smiled and seemed to genuinely care about the energy issues in our house and where our specific needs were. He listened intently to what we told him and answered all our questions pleasantly and completely and had some great suggestions (even though we kind of overwhelmed him a few times.) He made the energy audit enjoyable and interesting. It was a pleasure having him come into our home. he is an impressive young man and certainly did earn our respect and admiration. Thank you!

On behalf of Construction Associates, I wanted to take the time to thank you and your team for the work performed on the Envisage Information Systems project located at 31 Dutch Mill Road in Ithaca, NY. Over the past 28 years of doing construction work, I have come in contact with hundreds of companies across the east coast and few of them reach the level of professionalism as Halco. Your company responded to a difficult renovation project that had an extremely rigorous schedule and you met all of our goals and obligations including quality and safety. Furthermore, I would also like to take time to single out one person in particular and that is Mr. Carl Pipolo. Mr. Pipolo’s knowledge and can do attitude provided a positive approach to this difficult project. His willingness to work with the other contractors, his recommendations on problems that arose and his attention to detail have made this project one of my best. This past week we have had the pleasure of meeting Steve Hegel. He is the perfect example of what a reputable company should present every day. Over the past nine years, since our air conditioner/furnace system was installed, it has been on problem after another. There have been many attempts and suggestions to resolve the problems with the A/C including total replacement. For the first time in many years we believe that our A/C is operating properly and that the long standing problem of gas leakage has been solved thanks to Steve Hegel. Steve is knowledgeable, confident and obviously knows his trade and how to deal with customers. We were impressed with his treatment of the tow young men who appeared to be under his tutelage the day he worked on our A/C. They surely will also become valued members of your company.

Travis W. was at our house this morning from 8:30 to 12:30 to fix the pop-up stopper in the bathroom sink, to fix the pop-up stopper in the bathroom bathtub, and re-do the plumbing for the bathtub drain. We were very pleased with his work. He was very professional, very pleasant, very informative, and very clean/careful.We have been really pleased with all of the Halco service technicians that have come to our house, as well as with the financial arrangement Halco made to cover our ‘Wheaton’s’ contract. It is a pleasure doing business with Halco.
