I am quite satisfied with the service I received on Friday. The solo technician you sent deserves a bonus. He worked non-stop without a break, by himself, to remove my old furnace and to install a new furnace. He was courteous and professional in his demeanor, so I highly recommend him. So far, I have been pleased with Halco service and especially appreciate the call I received this morning (I forgot his name but he made me feel a little better about spending so much money on a furnace and a warranty), then a call from Autumn to schedule the installation, and a timely delivery of space heaters from Shelby when the temperatures are to drop into the 30s tonight. Sarah Cox came to help my friend with a dead furnace. She was really an outstanding representative for Halco. She made full measurements, talked us through the options and then, on her initiative, took information to make my friend a recipient of the Adam Scott Foundation support to get her a free Furnace and installation. We are beyond excited about this, as it was not at all clear how she would be able to pay for the new furnace, as she does not have the funds needed. Sarah was respectful but very supportive throughout this whole procedure. She deserves the highest commendation and congratulations for her excellent work.

Last week HALCO installed a geothermal heat pump at our residence. I have only praise for the work they did, referring to both the outside excavated trenches and the follow-up removal of my fuel oil furnace and replacement with a Geostar 5-ton Sycamore heating/cooling unit. The team was thoughtful about the unique needs of our property, patient in explaining the steps, and thorough in removing dirt and debris that comes with these transformations. Very trustworthy and successful operation from start to finish.

I want to take a moment to thank the crew from Halco that came in did my blown insulation. I can’t express enough gratitude to amount to the amazing work your crew did. From the time they came in the door, they were so respectful, and they went above and beyond to help me. I would recommend them all to the world. You have some amazing workers. I am not sure if this will go to the right person so please forward as needed. I am happy to complete the survey on google, but I also want to take some time to let you know how appreciative I am of both Logan’s handling and repair skills as well as Halco’s decision to stand by their work. Yesterday, your company sent Logan (I think that is his name) to do a repair. He quickly recognized the cause of the problem as the install had been done incorrectly. When I mentioned it was Halco that had done the plumbing for my remodel kitchen I thought it would become a problem and a hassle to remedy the situation and didn’t want to pay more than what I had paid initially for the job to be done correctly.Instead, he returned the same day, fixed the problem and the upper management acknowledged the mistake, took responsibility, and did not charge me more. I understand mistakes happen. I am just so pleased to see you stand behind your work and do the right thing when mistakes occur. There is a reason I have used your company for all these years, and with this experience, I expect to be with you for many more to come.

Matt Dennis our first Halco contact, who knows our old, eccentric house better than anyone else, has been with us every step of the way. Last week Anthony and Mason’s insulation tasks were completed. They worked hard and were fine workers. This week the insulation and the third floor heat pump were inspected by two City of Ithaca inspectors. Matt and John Bisgrove were here and they were the perfect interface with the inspectors. Your consistently kind and efficient office staff sent us the balance due, the maintenance contract, and the Capital Improvement Certificate. We have spent the biggest chunk of our savings for our home on Halco projects. We believe energy efficiency and sustainable sources are essential for a healthy planet. As elders we want to leave the next generations with the best chance of healthy life we can. And we have turned to Halco and Halco has not disappointed us. The work and the workers have all been good for us. The Halco work quality has been consistently fine and the workers all seem reliable, polite, communicative and nice people. Halco’s culture, training, and support must be terrific to have your folks in the trenches be so uniformly top quality. But, what makes the biggest difference to me, (a 75 yo untech savvy senior, caring for a frail, disabled 89 yo spouse) is having Matt get to know us, our home, and help us figure out the best way to proceed. Without having one contact who can put the pieces together, we probably would have stopped after the first insulation projects.
