  Only reason not a 5 is that I find the charges quite expensive and am not yet experienced enough with other service providers to know yet what the typical going rates are for one thing or another. Wait I should use this space though to register an unfortunately very different experience with HALCO a few years ago, in which, although the salesman and crew were nice, a worker damaged a tenants quilt (but at least halco was prompt with an apology and reimbursement), and more importantly, I believe the $15,000 worth of energy efficiency improvement work ended up not being effective at all at lowering utility bills, failing to identify the spots in my bedroom where additions insulation pumped into the wall around and under the windows would have made huge difference, and most problematically of all, left the basement with a bad ineffective vapor barrier that was not well secured and has ended up being so ineffective, and such an eyesore, that, along with the very clumsily and super-messily applied, excessive foam (in unhelpful places), have made the now-terrible-looking basement a significant detraction from the overall value of the house in the eyes of any realtor or prospective buyer. Pardon the strongly worded feedback. It was a bad experience, but I don't mean to blame any one person or another and all HALCO personnel have always been courteous and friendly; while most, also, have seemed highly skilled. The decision making about how to economize on the vapor barrier, and the insufficient skill or perhaps insufficient supervision over those applying the foam badly, might have been areas where there was room for improvement. This experience this current time with Travis was great though.
