We installed all new ductwork in their basement so that they could have an air conditioning unit on the first floor AND a second system in the attic to cool the second floor. Each system utilizes a 2-ton 2-stage condenser with a 2-stage air handler.
We then applied mastic to all of the ductwork joints to ensure a quality seal and prevent air leakage. This setup results in super high energy efficiency and removes up to 30% more humidity from the air!
