Adam Scott was an HVAC technician for over 25 years, working his way up from entry-level to master technician. He was passionate about his work, committed to excellence, and customer-focused. Mechanically gifted, highly inquisitive, and a natural problem-solver, Adam embraced every day with positivity and joy and exemplified the core values of integrity, courtesy, and service. He was held in high regard by his customers and peers in the HVAC field.
To honor Adam’s legacy and support young men and women pursuing careers in the trades, the Adam B. Scott Memorial Scholarship was established. The scholarship is intended to provide meaningful assistance to entry-level technicians, helping them access the tools, education, and resources needed to advance their careers. Recipients of the scholarship will demonstrate the same passion and attitude as Adam, with strong leadership qualities that position them for success in the industry.
Halco joins Adam Scott’s parents, Steve and Irene, and family in remembering Adam and presenting the first annual $1,000 scholarship to Halco technician, Mark Timson!
Mark is an HVAC Service Tech who came to the company through a BOCES internship. He was brought on with only basic knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems and has progressed from a maintenance technician to a service technician. Mark currently runs diagnostic service calls and is being trained on LG heat pump systems. He is hardworking, detail-oriented, a team player, and has great communication skills. We are proud to present Mark with this scholarship to help further his career in the trades!
