The Century Club Contractor Spotlight profiles businesses that have won the Century Club Award. That award, given by the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, goes to companies that have improved the energy efficiency of more than 100 homes in a year through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program.
As the spotlight explains, Halco surpassed that century mark by improving the energy efficiency of an astounding 278 homes in 2011, winning the prestigious award. The spotlight names even more awards given to Owner Hal Smith and reveals the ‘secrets’ to the company’s success.
Smith founded Halco in 1984 as a residential plumbing and heating business and has guided the company through enormous change and growth.
