His daily duties revolve around running service calls, performing annual service maintenance, and his EPA Universal & HVAC/R most certainly helps him in these duties. During a customer's preventative maintenance visit in Groton, NY, our technicians found both the contactor and the capacitor on the A/C unit had failed and some connections needed to be repaired. Due to the customer having a 10 year parts and labor warranty on their air conditioning unit, these repairs were done at no charge!

Halco service tech performed annual maintenance on this Carrier outside package AC unit in Waterloo, NY. He removed dead mice and a mouse house from the return duct area, cleaned, scrubbed, and inspected evaporator coil, condenser coil, and blower motor, and verified condensate pan drains. He also checked electrical connections and response to thermostat. A Halco service technician was at this Seneca Falls, NY home to perform annual maintenance on the customer's AC unit. While there, he noticed the landscaping has grown over the furnace and tankless water heater intake and exhaust. He removed the old growth to ensure safe and proper venting of dangerous gases.
We performed annual maintenance on this Goodman AC unit for a Seneca Falls, NY customer. We cleaned the inside evaporator coil, cleaned the condensate trap and replaced the air filter. Landscaping was cleared from around the outside condenser unit and leaves and debris were removed from inside the unit. This will improve the AC units air flow and increase its performance for the customer.
During the annual service for this maintenance agreement customer in Auburn, NY, technicians found a crack in the furnace heat exchanger.
One of Halco's energy advisors, Larry Williamson, went out the same night and provided the customer with options for a new furnace. Our homeowner accepted the offer and by 5/27 our service technicians, Eric O'Lena & Anthony Duncan had installed a new Goodman furnace in the home.
This Auburn, NY customer just moved into his house and was running through propane. His floors were always hot, and his high efficient boiler never turned off. Our service technician found a crossed wire on the zone control board that ran out to the customer’s pull barn where his open system coal fired boiler sits. This was turned off, but the crossed wires made a call for heat. Our tech removed the system from the main boiler system, cooling down the room directly above it 8°F while he worked. He also identified a failed expansion tank, a failed air vent, and a missing a back-flow preventer and an automatic water feed/ pressure reducing valve. He replaced the failed parts and installed the two missing parts making the boiler system code compliant. The customer was so happy with the service he decided to become a Halco Maintenance Agreement customer!
