Overall satisfaction with our company ★★★★★My elderly mother called to have her furnace serviced/cleaned. The service person said they 'had to stay 2 hours'. When they left they said she was all set. The very next day her hot water and furnace weren't working. So 2 different HALCO service staff were sent out. After going through things they provided an estimate of $7000 for a hot water heater, $3000 for a gas line and $10,000 for a new furnace! NO THANK YOU!!! We got her hot water tank replaced for $600 - not $7000 and had another HVAC company look at the furnace. That company is charging $5000 to remove the old furnace (it is over 20 years old) and replace with a newer, more efficient one. But this company was honest and let my mother know she could just replace a flame sensor (cost of a few hundred dollars) to get it working again. This company also cleaned the old furnace because the HALCO staff didn't clear debris during their 2 hour service appointment. This feels like price gouging and taking advantage of an elderly person. Very disappointed to say the least.
