  I feel like I was misled and lied to years ago when my heat pump system was installed. It is not adequate for heating/cooling my home. I asked the sales person if he was installing enough head units and he assured me he was. Also was told that the remotes acted as a thermostat and later found out that was a lie. At the time, I was renting the home and the renters did not communicate the issue. It can be 10+ degrees different from one end of house to the other which I found out when I moved back in over a year ago. Recently I had you guys quote me to add another system to the house to supplement the existing. Not only was the price almost double the first, I also am no longer able to get the tax credit since I have already claimed that with the first system. There is no way I will be paying almost $50K for a heating system for this house. Totally unreasonable for a house this size and Halco really screwed me over. I also got a quote on a very small egress window at the same time which was over $10K. I have priced materials on both projects and your labor cost is ridiculously high. My attic and basement ceiling joists are easily accessible. Running lines for the heat pump would be quite easy. Basement is totally gutted right now and putting in egress window would be fairly simple also. I am familiar with construction so I have an idea how long these projects will take. I am a local business owner so I am giving this feedback privately rather than putting it on google or something because I don't want to hurt a local business. But I feel the owner(s) of Halco need to know. I doubt you can make this right at this point but I hope you can treat future customers better.
