  When my husband arrived home, the energy adviser directed his attention solely to my husband and forgot that I was the one that set up the appointment and that I was in the room. I am not a fan of salesmen that only speak to the 'man of the house'. In our home, my husband and I are 50/50. We were very unimpressed with his lack of involving both of us.

  The energy adviser was knowledgeable about home energy. I was very concerned with the him as he was going up and down my stairs, with his safety. He also had requested that I get my ladder out for him to look into my attic because he stated, 'that his was very heavy'. I did not get my ladder out for two reasons. One being, I felt nervous with him on my stairs, let alone him climbing into the attic on my ladder. Two, I really think that when a professional comes into to my home to do a service, they should have the tools they are physically able to handle.

  Teach your salesmen to speak to the female as much as the male of the home. You never know which one makes the decisions or if they make it together.
