  We've had Halco for three different jobs totaling around $30,000, plus annual service. The first two, PV and furnace replacement went great. but the third, complete new HVAC at our camp, although adequate did not rise to the stellar level of our first two experiences. The installer seemed distracted to the point that the jetting from natural gas to propane was overlooked and was caught by the assistant. This really could have been a disaster. The fit and finish around the vent and intake leave something to be desired. I provided zip tape for the technician to seal any perforations to the membrane beneath the trailer and upon inspection this was not done leaving us vulnerable to rodents and insects. The condensate vent fell out and I reattached it. When I asked that the condensate not be drained directly beneath the trailer he just shrugged and said there was no other way. A warning sign that I would have to pay close attention came when the job trailer doors were opened and I saw a jumbled mess inside. So I'm reporting this not to get anyone in trouble but just so you might tighten up your ship a bit. The least of your technicians are head and shoulders above most companies but could use a few gentle reminders that each customer is spending hard earned dollars and deserves not only an adequate job, but an excellent one.
