• How knowledgeable was the energy adviser who came to your home ★★★★★
  The 90 min. meeting to consider the possibility of installing a geothermal system at our home was not productive at all. The adviser was clearly not well-versed on the topic. For example, we asked whether we could have radiators (instead of baseboards or forced air) running with geothermal energy and his answer was 'I think so. Go online and look for the radiators yourself'; I insisted that we are not experts and that we needed more guidance in terms of different brands, models, or websites where we could look into, but he couldn't give us any tips, nor he offered to provide them later. I understand that if a hire a big company such as Halco, they would take care of all.
• Did the energy adviser explain their findings and help you understand what's happening in your home ★★★★★
  Instead of adapting the technology to our place and looking for different solutions for each space/room, he insisted on one system: forced air. He never offered the possibility of combining different technologies (radiant floors in some rooms, baseboards in others, etc) and he didn't seem very willing to enter into much detail.
• Was your energy adviser friendly and considerate of your home and concerns ★★★★★
  It struck me as not very professional to give a ballpark estimate of $40,000-$60,000 and add that he won't be able to be more specific even in a more detailed estimate. Does Halco think that a customer would commit to a project without really knowing the cost of it?

  It was very frustrating. I honestly expected more from a big company with the reputation of Halco.
