This Dansville, NY customer decided to go green to reduce both his energy costs and his environmental footprint. The home was fitted with a 7.194 kW solar electric system, installed as a roof-mounted array of 22 SunPower solar modules. As designed, the system should produce 6,966.8 kWh per year, which is equivalent to carbon dioxide emissions savings of 10,591 pounds annually. We can say with confidence that this customer has achieved his goal of becoming more energy efficient and sustainable! 

Wow! Check out this sleek new furnace installed for a customer in Rochester, NY! This customer initially contacted Halco for a furnace estimate, but after learning about the no-cost energy assessment, he decided to move forward in that direction. From the energy assessment, the customer learned where his home was underperforming and decided to add insulation, in combination with this new furnace, to increase the comfort in his home as well as the home’s efficiency. 

This Rochester, NY customer started his journey with Halco by having a no-cost energy assessment performed on his home. Through the assessment process we learned that the customer qualified for the NYS Assisted Home Performance Program (AHP). Because he qualified, we were able to install a new water heater for the customer at half the price!

This two-unit home in Rochester, NY received a 200 amp electrical upgrade as part of a larger project that Halco was working on. Our home energy department was installing a 50-gallon heat pump water heater for the customer, and the electrical service needed to be upgraded in order to proceed. 

This Rochester, NY customer had an attic that was under-insulated resulting in a significant amount of air leakage. To make the home more comfortable, loose blown cellulose was added on top of the existing fiberglass. Cellulose insulation creates a tight thermal barrier that can reduce heating and cooling costs by as much as 32%. This customer is very excited to feel the results this upcoming winter!
