Challenge
Renovate the HVAC system in the computer classrooms at the Mann Library - Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Solution
New fan coil units were installed and ducted separately from the existing HVAC system. New ductwork was added to the existing ductwork using VAV (variable air volume) boxes. Condensate tubing from the fan coil units was piped to the nearest mop sink.
