Halco Named NATE Quality Circle Contractor

Halco has been named a Quality Circle Contractor by the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) organization. Contractors with more than 75 percent of their technicians NATE certified are admitted to the circle. Only one in 10 companies achieve this distinction.

Earning this distinction places Halco in a special section of the contractor locator section of the NATE website.

According to Carl Smith, NATE director of marketing and public relations, Quality Circle Contractors have shown a commitment to having their technicians earn NATE certification, a commitment to the value of training and lifelong pursuit of knowledge, and to the concept that technician certification is the way to assure consumers of knowledgeable and proficient service and installation of their home comfort systems. This commitment also assures businesses of knowledgeable refrigeration system service and installation.

Smith says, “Many contractors can say their technicians know heating and cooling, but Quality Circle Contractors have technicians with proven knowledge.”

NATE is comprised of 17 trade associations and governmental organizations representing all facets of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry. Halco is a member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and Building Performance Institute (BPI), two NATE member organizations.

In addition to all plumbing, heating and air conditioning installation and service, certified building analysts in Halco’s Home Energy Performance division perform professional residential energy audits. Technicians in this division make all necessary repairs and improvements to improve energy savings significantly.

Halco was established in 1984. Today, Halco’s 100 employees serve residential and commercial customers from Rochester to Utica and from Lake Ontario to the Pennsylvania border.
