My name is Ed Okonsky and I am a Halco Home Energy Advisor. I am from Canisteo, NY, but I currently reside in Farmington, NY with my wife and two children. I have an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and worked as a Police Office for 20 years before changing careers. I am a BPI (Building Performance Institute) certified Building Analyst and Envelope Professional.
I started my career with Halco in 2013. I began as part of an insulation crew and moved to my current position shortly thereafter. As an Energy Advisor, it is my job to ensure that your needs are completely understood and that your home is expertly evaluated.
I truly enjoy interacting with my customers and helping them with their energy needs. To know I am helping create healthier, more comfortable and energy efficient homes for my customers is a great feeling!
Outside of work, I coach youth football and spend as much time with my wife and two children as possible. I enjoy fishing, hunting, camping, and just being outdoors.

This 5.7 kW solar electric system was installed for a customer in Waterloo, NY. As designed, the 20 panel ground-mounted solar array should generate approximately 6,599.9 kWh per year. Not sure just how much 6,599.9 kWh of electricity really is? Think CO2 emissions from 4,888 pounds of coal burned, 512 gallons of gasoline burned or 10.6 barrels of oil consumed!
