In 2014, Jamie joined the Halco team as a Home Energy Advisor bringing years of experience in energy efficiency. As an advisor, Jamie uses his training and knowledge to run energy assessments and provide customers with recommended energy improvements as well as solar and geothermal estimates. Jamie enjoys meeting new people every day and finds satisfaction in implementing renewable systems that help conserve energy for future generations. He is extremely motivated to help customers create a comfortable, healthy, and efficient home where they can save money now and in the future.
Jamie’s passion for helping others shines bright through the non-profit organization that he runs, which works to install water filtration and solar arrays in developing nations. He recently traveled to Guatemala where he installed a solar array that would be used to power a pump for an 8,000-liter bio-char water filtration system that he also installed. Upon returning to the States, Jamie was invited to speak at the Home Performance Conference in Portland, Oregon.
Jamie holds his degree from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and is a BPI Certified Building Analyst, a BPI Certified Envelope Professional, and a BPI Certified Healthy Home Evaluator. When Jamie is not promoting energy-efficient living, he enjoys playing mandolin and electric bass, working on anything mechanical (diesel engines, gasoline engines, motorcycles), hiking, camping, backpacking, exercising, and spending time with friends!
