Halco has been in business for 36 years and has grown into one of the largest Home Performance/Renewable Energy companies in New York State. We have been recognized by several regional and national authorities, including the U.S. Department of Energy, as a national pioneer and leader in this industry. We have divisions that provide HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services for both our residential and commercial customers. We specialize in renewable energy from Rochester to Syracuse, and down through Elmira. Halco serves thousands of customers across 23 counties in the Finger Lakes region.
Our team of Energy Advisors start by performing a thorough evaluation of a customer's home--focusing primarily on their existing building envelope and heating/cooling systems and then prescribe the appropriate solutions based on their findings. These items can consist of air-sealing and insulation measures, higher efficiency HVAC products, solar and geothermal systems, as well as indoor air quality, basement waterproofing, standby generators and other solutions to make our customers' homes more comfortable and energy-efficient. We are seeking charismatic, self-starting and highly motivated individuals with the skills and knowledge to effectively engage our customers and turn these opportunities into sold projects. This position will involve professional in-home presentations, preparation of estimates and following through to make sure the project is successful, and the customer is completely satisfied. Prior in-home sales experience or experience of how a home is built is beneficial, but not required. We put a strong emphasis on providing ample training for candidates with long term career goals. Basic communication skills, organization and strong follow up are essential to being successful in our industry. Our focus is bringing on high-character applicants, who also have outstanding communication and computer skills--the rest we can train! Our sales process differs from many companies in that we provide an emphasis on education of the customer's home, accompanied with solutions to the problems found during the assessment process. This combined with the number of state incentives, financing and funding available to many of our customers, allows our customers and staff to avoid high pressure sales!
