This Ithaca, NY customer is part of Tompkins County, a community with a very large solar initiative. As customer, Kelly, and his wife researched and learned more about solar power they thought, "Why isn't everybody doing this?" After receiving a free home energy audit from Halco, we moved forward with a 6.6 kW roof-mounted solar array. In a post-project interview, Kelly stated that he was, "Very impressed with the speed of the project- it only took 2.5 days." This customer also plans to work with Halco on a second project for insulation and a heat exchange unit. All in all, Kelly is very excited about this project and is even hoping to add more solar panels in the future!
This Dansville, NY customer decided to go green to reduce both his energy costs and his environmental footprint. The home was fitted with a 7.194 kW solar electric system, installed as a roof-mounted array of 22 SunPower solar modules. As designed, the system should produce 6,966.8 kWh per year, which is equivalent to carbon dioxide emissions savings of 10,591 pounds annually. We can say with confidence that this customer has achieved his goal of becoming more energy efficient and sustainable!
These Cortland, NY customers have always been interested in renewable energy. After hearing of Halco through a flyer in the mail, the couple decided to contact us for a no-cost home energy audit. Taking into account the customers' current annual usage, the system that was designed accounts for approximately 72% of consumption. This 6.6 kW solar electric system was designed as a roof-mounted array of 24 SolarWorld solar modules and should produce around 6,222 kWh annually!
This 5.7 kW solar electric system was installed for a customer in Waterloo, NY. As designed, the 20 panel ground-mounted solar array should generate approximately 6,599.9 kWh per year. Not sure just how much 6,599.9 kWh of electricity really is? Think CO2 emissions from 4,888 pounds of coal burned, 512 gallons of gasoline burned or 10.6 barrels of oil consumed!
This 6.213 kW solar electric system was installed for a customer in Fairport, NY. Wanting to offset dependency from the local utility company and reduce his carbon footprint, this customer has taken a major step towards energy independence with his new solar system. Installed as a roof-mounted array of 19 solar panels, the system is designed to generate 5,180.5 kWh per year!
This Oswego, NY customer decided to go solar to offset her electricity usage from the local utility provider. As designed, this 4.86 kW solar electric system should generate 5,085 kwh per year. This corresponds to a CO2 emissions savings of 6,102 lbs. per year (the equivalent to CO2 emissions from 3,766 pounds of coal burned)! The energy produced by this system is equivalent to 107% of the customer's current base load usage!
